Abstract<\/em><\/strong>: The article deals with new words that appeared in the Ukrainian vocabulary in the last decades of the \u0425\u0425\u0406 century. The terminology concept includes today\u2019s professionalisms, professional jargon, and slang words, which can acquire the status of a term or can\u00a0 remain words of a specific time or historical period. Such vocabulary can be divided into lexemes formed both on a national basis and on a\u00a0 foreign language basis. These are words of mostly Anglo-American origin, which have penetrated into all areas of our lives in recent years. Innovations attract the attention of many researchers who describe them from different positions, from different perspectives and on the\u00a0 material of texts of varying language styles.
\nInnovative processes in language that accompany our reality are highly diverse. Some lexemes have their specific author. These are neonyms.\u00a0 Others are created from words available in the language with the help of suffixes and basic compounds. Still others \u2013 in a
\nsemantic way, completely changing the word\u2019s meaning. A separate group of new words is made up of borrowings, which, unfortunately, do\u00a0 not enrich our language. On the contrary, they make it difficult to understand and perceive, since they have their national counterparts.
\nThey remain available to a narrow circle of specialists who use them within the framework of their profession.
\nThe beginning of this millennium for Ukraine was marked by two Maidans, military actions that lasted for nine years, reflected in the\u00a0 language. Modern common language and terminological dictionaries do not contain such words. However, some of them were reflected
\nin special lexicographic works of new words and terms.<\/p>\n
