Abstract<\/em><\/strong>: The article examines the differentiation of the form of the numeral component. It depends on the word-formative function and phonetic position of the numeral component ending letter in the compound word structure.\u00a0 The usage of norms fixed in the Ukrainian orthography of the 20th and 21st centuries and was used in the spelling\u00a0 dictionary of the components \u0434\u0432\u043e-, \u0442\u0440\u0438-, \u0447\u043e\u0442\u0438\u0440\u0438- and \u0434\u0432\u043e\u0445-, \u0442\u0440\u044c\u043e\u0445, \u0447\u043e\u0442\u0438\u0440\u044c\u043e\u0445- were analyzed. Also, inconsistencies\u00a0 in compliance with these norms were identified and systematized.
\nChanges in the usage of numeral forms as the first part of the complex word were stated and registered in\u00a0 \u201cUkrainian\u00a0 orthography\u201d (Kyiv: Naukova dumka, 2019). According to these changes, we should write \u0434\u0432\u043e-, \u0442\u0440\u0438-,\u00a0 \u0447\u043e\u0442\u0438\u0440\u0438- in compound adjectives and nouns before any letter. Forms \u0434\u0432\u043e\u0445-, \u0442\u0440\u044c\u043e\u0445-, \u0447\u043e\u0442\u0438\u0440\u044c\u043e\u0445- are obvious to use in\u00a0 ordinal numerals (relative ordinal adjectives) which are formed from compound numerals such as \u0434\u0432\u0456\u0441\u0442\u0456, \u0442\u0440\u0438\u0441\u0442\u0430,\u00a0 \u0447\u043e\u0442\u0438\u0440\u0438\u0441\u0442\u0430 and complex words such as \u0434\u0432\u0456 \u0442\u0438\u0441\u044f\u0447\u0456, \u0442\u0440\u0438 \u0442\u0438\u0441\u044f\u0447\u0456, \u0447\u043e\u0442\u0438\u0440\u0438 \u0442\u0438\u0441\u044f\u0447\u0456; \u0434\u0432\u0430 \u043c\u0456\u043b\u044c\u0439\u043e\u043d\u0438, \u0442\u0440\u0438 \u043c\u0456\u043b\u044c\u0439\u043e\u043d\u0438,\u00a0 \u0447\u043e\u0442\u0438\u0440\u0438 \u043c\u0456\u043b\u044c\u0439\u043e\u043d\u0438; \u0434\u0432\u0430 \u043c\u0456\u043b\u044c\u044f\u0440\u0434\u0438, \u0442\u0440\u0438 \u043c\u0456\u043b\u044c\u044f\u0440\u0434\u0438, \u0447\u043e\u0442\u0438\u0440\u0438 \u043c\u0456\u043b\u044c\u044f\u0440\u0434\u0438 and in nouns that contain -\u0440\u0456\u0447\u0447\u044f, -\u043b\u0456\u0442\u0442\u044f.
\nConcurrence between forms of nominative and genitive cases in the names of hundreds \u043f\u2019\u044f\u0442\u0441\u043e\u0442\u2013\u0434\u0435\u0432\u2019\u044f\u0442\u0441\u043e\u0442 as the\u00a0 first components of the compound words was estimated. Predominant usage of the nominative case of names of\u00a0 these hundreds in compound nouns (\u043f\u2019\u044f\u0442\u0441\u043e\u0442\u0440\u0456\u0447\u0447\u044f\u2013\u0434\u0435\u0432\u2019\u044f\u0442\u0441\u043e\u0442\u0440\u0456\u0447\u0447\u044f) and the genitive case in ordinal numerals\u00a0 (\u043f\u2019\u044f\u0442\u0438\u0441\u043e\u0442\u0438\u0439\u2013\u0434\u0435\u0432\u2019\u044f\u0442\u0438\u0441\u043e\u0442\u0438\u0439) and adjectives (\u043f\u2019\u044f\u0442\u0438\u0441\u043e\u0442\u043a\u0456\u043b\u043e\u0433\u0440\u0430\u043c\u0430\u043e\u0432\u0438\u0439\u2013\u0434\u0435\u0432\u2019\u044f\u0442\u0438\u0441\u043e\u0442\u043a\u0456\u043b\u043e\u0433\u0440\u0430\u043c\u043e\u0432\u0438\u0439) was noted in\u00a0 modern language practice. It was observed that in the structure of the complex nouns (\u043f\u2019\u044f\u0442\u0441\u043e\u0442\u0441\u043e\u0440\u043e\u043a\u0430\u043f\u2019\u044f\u0442\u0438\u0440\u0456\u0447\u0447\u044f),\u00a0 adjectives (\u043f\u2019\u044f\u0442\u0441\u043e\u0442\u0441\u043e\u0440\u043e\u043a\u0430\u043f\u2019\u044f\u0442\u0438\u0440\u0456\u0447\u043d\u0438\u0439), and ordinal numerals (\u043f\u2019\u044f\u0442\u0441\u043e\u0442\u0441\u043e\u0440\u043e\u043a\u0430\u043f\u2019\u044f\u0442\u0438\u0442\u0438\u0441\u044f\u0447\u043d\u0438\u0439) traditionally used\u00a0 the names of hundreds \u043f\u2019\u044f\u0442\u0441\u043e\u0442\u2013\u0434\u0435\u0432\u2019\u044f\u0442\u0441\u043e\u0442 in the nominative case and the names of tens and ones in the genitive case are used.
\nThe article emphasizes on the new norm of orthography \u043f\u0456\u0432 that means \u2018half\u2019 with nouns in a singular form of the\u00a0 genitive case. The words, in which \u043f\u0456\u0432- is a single notion with a noun, were outlined.
\nIt was found out the specific nature of fractional unconjugated numerals (\u043f\u0456\u0432, \u043f\u0456\u0432\u0442\u043e\u0440\u0430, \u043f\u0456\u0432\u0442\u043e\u0440\u0438, \u043f\u0456\u0432\u0442\u043e\u0440\u0430\u0441\u0442\u0430) usage,\u00a0 and conjugated indefinite quantifier numerals such as \u0431\u0430\u0433\u0430\u0442\u043e, \u043a\u0456\u043b\u044c\u043a\u0430, which are used for complex noun formation.<\/p>\n
